Thirty years and still going strong! We are very proud of how far the firm has travelled and grateful that we continue to go from strength to strength. This could not have happened without the support of our clients.

Thank you.

This year, 2024, you’ll notice a new logo, a refreshed website and a new look and feel. An appropriate change after reaching such a big milestone. 1 February 1994 saw us open our doors and our very first client files for those clients who followed us to Harty Rushmere. Over the years we have developed strong working relationships and good friendships with a number of our clients which have endured over the years.

We always aim to offer a personalised, commercial, business-orientated service to both local and international clients. We are proud to represent (or to have represented) corporations from around the world, which are household names and are drawn from various sectors. We have grown in parallel with the evolving tech industry in South Africa, assisting some of the largest companies in the world in establishing their business operations in Southern Africa. This involvement has spanned all levels of legal and business support.

We have also assisted many of our smaller/medium clients as they navigated the tricky transition from small businesses to significant players in their specific fields. Some have even gone on to be acquired by larger or listed conglomerates and we are proud to have assisted them in the journey. Although we are well known for providing niche legal and advisory services in all areas of information technology law, we also have established a proud reputation advising our clients in the fields of corporate and commercial law, including take-overs, mergers and acquisitions.

We always aim to provide a personalised service and a proactive and practical approach when addressing our clients’ internal legal and wider business needs. This has enabled us to add value to any business enterprise, even those with in-house legal resources.

We attribute our success to, amongst other things, the expertise of our people – their commercial acumen, accessibility, responsiveness and the culture of excellence, along with an in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of the industries we are involved in, which extends beyond merely the legal issues. But most of all, it comes down to our client relationships. We would like to thank each of our clients for your continued support. We have enjoyed working with each and every one of you over the years and we look forward to continuing our relationships and supporting your businesses in future.
